The Washington State Ferry is one of the most popular ways to reach Orcas Island. Departing from Anacortes, ferries run year-round with service to Orcas, Lopez, San Juan, and Shaw Islands. You can board with a vehicle, bike, or on foot. An interisland ferry makes it easy to hop between islands during your visit. The terminal is located at 2100 Ferry Terminal Rd, Anacortes, WA 98221, and it’s best to arrive 30–60 minutes before departure. Arriving atleast 30 minutes prior is required to keep reservations. Allow 2–3 hours of drive time from Seattle or Vancouver B.C.
